Mnt. Fuji

i love how the MIB guy is all over the vending machines out here.

Anyway i am in fanatsu now. It is right next to mnt fuji and it very quite.
they don't do lunch which is dumb. The open in the morning / close / then open again at 7. So that not too fun but any real supermarket sells bomb food.

It is pretty but it loves to rain rain rain. I went to a ramen house where some customer explained to me he was a golfer and i told him i was a hiker. Strangers will really go out of there way to communicate. However the ramen shop was kinda annoyed with me but i got a good meal so i didn't mind. I might bug them again today.

Today i hiked mnt. Fuji. I watched on the news people getting crazy death rain trying to hike it and al who i met the first night could not hike it due to weather. However i couldn't do it another day so i went anyway. It cost $20 round trip on bus and another $10 to hike it.
it looked like this at the bottom of the hill. I also read a article about how mnt. Fuji going to blow this year as it is a active volcano. So i was i little tripped out. There was this poor girl who looked like she was doing the "walk of shame" down fujisama. She was soaked from head to toe, had rain gear but was not using it, and her chucks were ripped by the soul and were like flipflops. I really did feel bad for her and i was concerned because i was in a old pair of chucks.....like 2 years old.
there was not not many good picture i could get due to the fog but i did get a opening on the 6th+ station.

Let me pull back a bit and explain mnt. Fuji. There are stations all the way up. Information on the lower levels. Places to sleep in the middle and a restaurant on the summit.
your really not suppose to hike it in one day but spending $60 to sleep in a cold hut didn't sound fun. The restrooms and water get more expensive as you go up too. I did want to pee for $3 dollars so i pissed into the crater of the volcano. Pretty good rush. However it was cold and rainy but not hardcore.

The last 1.2 klm were really rough. Old lady's were keeping up with me which meant i was slowing down hard. I passed a lot of people on the way up and they were so nice. Ever local gave me a thumbs up or a kanichiwa.
This is the gate to the summit and there is a shrine up there as well but nothing fancy. In the guide manual it says when you get to the highest point of japan you have a state of euphoria. I had a state of i have to get down the mountain fast or i would miss my bus.
lava rock are everywhere but it changes color from red to blue when you start to take the downhill path. I started the hike at 7am and ended at 130pm. I was proud to make it up in down in my time but i feel worn out now.
there was vegatation around but not when you get up high enough. They say that after the fifth hut you leave to mortal realm and enter the spirt realm. I saw zero goblins however so i think thats a load of bull.

Thats all i really have. Fuji kicked my ass. I go back to tokyo tommorow for 3 days because i enjoyed it so much and then to kyoto and osaka for the rest of my trip.

I miss my 2 Israelite and my 1 Netherlands girl. I don't really have anyone to tear it up with but I am pretty torn up myself.
